TELE-CONSULTATION GROUPS, 2016-2017
with Dr. Kate Hays, C. Psych., CC-AASP and Dr. Sari Shepphird

Dr. Kate Hays’ and Dr. Sari Shepphird’s offerings of Tele-Consultation Groups (TCGs) are opportunities for distance learning and connection regarding sport and performance psychology. Initially created by Dr. Hays in 2003 in a face-to-face format, these groups are now beginning their 8th distance learning year! By conducting the TCGs virtually via telephone call to a central number, we can take advantage of technological advances, minimize the time challenges we all experience, and contribute in some small way toward environmental stewardship

These small, closed, confidential groups of 6-8 participants meet on a monthly basis. They offer an opportunity for guided learning amongst professionals with shared interests, knowledge, and skills, via professional reading, didactic presentation, small interactive group discussion, and case discussion.

For 2016-2017, the following groups will be offered.

• Sport Psychology Tele-Consultation Group [Introductory with Dr. Shepphird]
• Performance Psychology Tele-Consultation Group [Introductory with Dr. Shepphird]
• Case Consultation-only Tele-Consultation Group [with Dr. Hays]

The TCGs are open to psychologists, sport psychologists, other mental health practitioners, and advanced graduate students in these fields. The TCGs are approved for APA CE credit and as one element of CE for CC-AASP recertification.
